You become what you constantly think about

What Is Mindset

The brain and the conscious mind work together in miraculous ways. The brain is the control center and the mind is where all the unseen magic begins.

In my youth, I struggled with depression and anxiety, and I had a difficult time seeing the proverbial “light at the end of my dark tunnel”. My sadness would inundate my soul slowly I would become a recluse and would hide in the darkness of my unstable and unhealed mindset. This vicious cycle continued in my life for over 20 years. I thought and believed that I was not enough. I was completely unaware of my belief systems and how it trickles into your mindset.

Your mindset is how you feel when you get in front of a project you forgot about and it is now due in 2 days. Do you already feel defeated, hopeless and pending failure? Or do you see an opportunity to show your talent and learn more about time management? Do you view it as a life lesson or a dreading task that must be completed?

When you have a victimizing and negative mindset, it takes a toll on your mind, body, and soul. You lose the desire to finish tasks, give up easily, and do not see obstacles as opportunities.

“What your mind believes your body achieves. This can work for you and it can work against you, it is always up to you. In each moment your mindset is always your responsibility. This is where your true free will comes in, you can choose to see it as a stressful moment or an opportunity to strengthen your faith.

Now please understand that this is no EASY fleet. Changing your mindset is as challenging as changing your belief about passionate things such as politics or religion. Most of us identify with our belief system and without it we have no idea who we are.

Can you imagine who you would be if you removed your political and religious beliefs, detached from those negative voices telling you, “you are not enough, what you do is not enough” who would you be? How would you present yourself to the world? How would you see yourself? What freedom would you experience from not having any expectations to meet. When we identify more with our belief systems than we do with our true selves we lose who WE truly are.

Your mindset is very personal, it is all about you, and it does not include anyone else. It is always your choice, to live in darkness or to go towards the light. Sometimes it is very important for us to give ourselves permission to feel the pain and not mask it with toxic positivity.

The important piece is feeling it and letting it go, accepting it for what it is, and living in that moment. Allowing ourselves to feel the peace of simply letting go of all the expectations, freeing ourselves from the matrix, and focusing on ourselves. The most important part of what makes us who we are is how we see the world around us and within us, that is our mindset.

Why Does Your Mindset Matter

If we think that life is a mess of stress, work, and responsibility, life will show this belief to us through our perception and mindset.

Now if you see life as a constant opportunity for growth, lessons, curiosity, surprise, and wonder; your life would feel and look very different. You would feel lighter, with purpose, and with the child's perspective and spirit towards life obstacles.

How To Change Your Mindset

When you are trying to change your body, you create a daily regimen that includes exercise and healthy foods to consume. Also once the change has occurred, if you do not continue to maintain your healthy habits you will end up right back where you started.

So, exercise and healthy food consumption is the lifestyle you must continue to practice so you can maintain your success. This is a weight loss example, but the process stays the same for any change.

It is the same concept when you are changing your mindset. You must create a daily regimen, one you can be disciplined with. A realistic regimen for whatever level you are at, to begin with.

The process of changing from one habit to a healthier habit is challenging. To change your belief system is changing the foundation of what you believe you are, it is both a beautiful and messy process. Our brain has created neuropathways for our old behavior so we feel safe and comfortable in them.

Discomfort comes when we force our brain to create new neuropathways with new habits. The discomfort comes when we want and feel like we must return to our old habits. But, the beautiful thing about humans, is we evolve, we can learn new things and create new habits. Those habits will one day no longer serve us, this is when we graduate and move to the next level.

First, you must unlearn everything you have learned to date, this includes everything and it all depends on your upbringing, level of trauma and neglect from childhood.

Self Talk — How you speak to yourself if what your subconscious mind believes it also becomes what you are programing into it. Your mind is powerful but it does not know the difference between a joke and a truth. Whatever you feed it, it will produce in large quantities.

Meditation — This is where you give your brain and mind a break. Your brain is a 24/7 running machine. While you resting your brain is still working, it is rebuilding the mind and body, but also it is processing information from the day. Meditation helps you organize your thoughts and place you in a state of peace to be able to find solutions to problems in your daily lives.

Affirmations — Just like self-talk, affirmations are what help you reprogram your subconscious mind with beliefs you want your brain to believe. Repetition is the mother of learning, sp basically you are “brainwashing” yourself into believing what you tell it to. 30 min a day of this can change your life.

Exercise- If our body is not healthy we are not able to contribute much to this world. Exercise also helps clear our minds and process events from a reasonable and logical perspective. It is a 2-for-1 special, healing both our mental and physical health.

Reading/Listening To Positive And New Information — learning new things is a great way to keep your mindset vibrating high, clear-headed, and full of hope and possibilities.

Your Mindset Is Your Religion; because you are the temple of your creator and you house the power of the universe all within you! The magic is all with you, my friend are you listening? YOU ARE THE MAGIC!!!
